Hello everyone!!! I'm baak!
This weekend was great! The heat didn't really hit until I got to Newark airport about...half an hour ago?...but that made for a dry and calming weekend weather-wise. J's doing well, getting ready to ship out this coming week. Everyone seems to be anxious to hit the road and as much as I don't want him to leave, I'm at the same place they are with that one. Get them out so they can come home!!
Weekend didn't consist of anything too exciting. Flew into El Paso for about 4:30pm (after almost 14 hours in planes and airports) where we went to the hotel, caught up with everyone, and ended up plaing Couples UNO and Yahtzee with three other couples from the unit. Nice down time, considering how I was running on negative energy. Saturday consisted of getting up for breakfast and check-in at 9am and then back to the suite for a nap until 1! Not my style normally, but with less than 6 hours of sleep total between Thursday and Friday nights, it was welcomed with open arms :) Rest of the day consisted of a trip to the mall, dinner with another couple, and then out on the town to celebrate everyone's last night free, troops and otherwise. Up at 7am this morning to be at the airport for 8:30, and it's been planes, trams, and buses ever since!
Now, off to write another paper (or at least start it) before the final flight of the night. More tomorrow!
