Well, everything went according to schedule yesterday and pulled through without any known problems (yay!)
J and I left at around 0620, getting to the base at 0700. The unit had to meet while families and friends gathered in the waiting area, and the unit joined us around 0830. Everyone was able to stay together for a few hours, and announcements for final good-bye's were made at 1130. Troops were in briefing by 1200 and the plane left around 1300. They arrived in TX around 1730 EDT (1530MDT), safe and sound. The housing they had been for the last pre-deployment was bad, but the housing this time includes air conditioners and laundry rooms to start, so it looks like TX won't be as bad as we had thought!
