Guess what?!?!
WE HAVE LESS THAN 2 MONTHS LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Specific dates are never 100% until the troops are back through customs and on a flight home, but we have a date that's been holding strong for a little bit now, and it's getting closer and closer! Time to get exciteddd

Day 149 Recap
I figured it was about time for an update, especially before my internship decides to keep me busy, so here it is!
1. J is having a good time at his new job. Not happy with the amount of associated work, and not all too thrilled with how busy it keeps him and how exhausted he is at the end of the day, but no regrets in getting the new job so that's a definitely plus!!
2. In case anyone missed the prior update, J will be starting classes for CATM school in early January and will be in Texas for approximately 10 weeks. It's sort of soon after the deployment so that stinks, but when he comes home he'll be around for a nice long while so that's a big positive : )
3. Although it can't be published online..... WE HAVE A HOMECOMING DATE!!!!!!!!!!!! Things do always change so the likelihood of things staying exactly as they're planned right now is pretty slim, but it's a place to count down to! Email or call me if you need the info.
That's it! --Kristy

Day 137 Recap
Hi all!
Slow news lately, really nothing to report so posts will continue to be random and infrequent (sorry!) but I do have some news!
As some/many of you may know, J was offered a chance to go to CATM school in the spring and was very excited about it. Each school session is 10 weeks long at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas. There are two sessions, one starting in January and one starting in March, and J was able to get a slot for January!! He'll leave soon after New Years so the holiday break will be cut short, but he will be home mid March and stay home for a while after that :)
No other details, but if I hear anything I'll be sure to share!

Day 118 Recap
Hey all-
Nothing awesome really to report (communication is limited now that jobs have changed) but apparently the base got a nice thunderstorm the other day! A few of the guys have posted about it and J mentioned it in passing yesterday morning. Raining and everything! They were pretty excited about the rain :) Anyway, that's it for now! Packages are still taking 10 days-2 weeks to get out there so if you sent something and haven't heard about it yet, don't get discouraged

Day 109 Recap
Well, it looks like the internet is done being cranky and is finally working properly again! It started to look promising yesterday, but I was worried I would jinx it, so I waited a day ;) It's been good for two days now though so we might be in the clear! Just wanted to let everyone knowwww

Day 97 Recap
First, little bit of background info: J had applied for a new position in Armour a little while ago. He was hoping to get the position but, as any smart airman, didn't get his hopes up until decisions were made.
Well, we got news and he got the position!! He's very excited about the new job, but this does change his work schedule from nights to days, so his times online and available to talk to family at home will be changing. Also, during this transition period, we're not sure what his day off schedule will look like, but we'll find out when things settle down. He seems very happy though :)
Aaaaaaaannnnndddd....................
WE HAVE WORKING INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!!!
J was able to get on skype this morning before he went to bed and I went to work, so the internet in the villa is finally working! It's a little slower than internet in the dining facilities and the quality isn't fantastic, but it's better than nothing!! Last thing he said was that he's excited to have the internet up and running and he's looking forward to spending his next day off playing WoW all day (go figure)
**For those of you who don't know, WoW is World of Warcraft, J's other love. hehe.....
Ok, that's about it. Almost at Day 100! I'll post more when anything else happens.
